Life comes with an abundance of issues. Some issues just happen; while others we bring on ourselves. No matter how the issue comes about, it takes something away from us. If we aren’t careful, we begin to lose pieces of us to the issues. Issue A has taken a little of my joy, issue B has a little of my peace and the cycle continues. Before we realize it, pieces of us are spread far and wide. How do we put the jigsaw puzzle of us back together? Do we sit idly and hope for everything to fall back in place? I like the active role of tackling the issue head on. Then the question comes: How do I tackle it without losing more of myself to the issue? Issues A and B already have a portion of my joy and peace and I can’t risk losing it all. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” God said that his strength is made perfect in my weakness! As my joy and peace dwindle God’s power begins to spiritually revive me. It gives me the very breath that my issues take away from me. God begins to work when I’m at my breaking point. So I should be glad to take on the infirmities in life because they may seem great, but I serve a God who’s greater! I feel my joy and peace coming back! Issues A through Z seem that much more bearable because God has rescued me! Does that mean I will never have issues again? No! But it does mean that with God, I’m never alone. So, when you feel life’s issues pulling and pushing remember 2 Corinthians 12:9!
