Blog family! I pray all is well since the last time I posted! Today has been a day. My morning did not go as I planned so it’s safe to say that I was angry. After ranting and raging, I heard The Lord speak to me. He said shake it off. Those three words penetrated the anger and pierced my heart. Ephesians 4:31-32 says,
“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
All of those emotions in verse 31 applied to me at the time. The devil will use any life situation to get you off track. We tend to allow things to make us bitter but that’s not the will of God for our lives. Instead, God charges us to be kind to one another and forgive because Christ did that for us. Am I saying that life will never make you mad? No, but I am saying we cannot allow temporary distractions to permanently alter our destiny. So when we find ourselves in uncomfortable situations, we have a choice. We can let that situation bury us with feelings of discontentment or we can choose to shake it off and allow it to push us to the next level. From today forward, I choose to shake it off! Be blessed!
